We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented WMS Specialist to join our team. As a WMS Specialist, you will be responsible for the effective implementation, configuration, and maintenance of our Warehouse Management System. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and configuration of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to meet the specific needs of our company’s warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and logistics, to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration with other systems, such as ERP and inventory management systems.
- Customize and optimize the WMS to streamline warehouse processes, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Provide training and support to warehouse staff on the effective use of the WMS, including system functionalities, best practices, and data accuracy.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system configuration guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze WMS performance metrics and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize warehouse efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors and software providers to stay updated on system updates, new features, and industry best practices.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the WMS by conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of warehouse process improvement initiatives to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 2 years minimum proven experience as a WMS Specialist or similar role.
- Strong technical expertise in implementing and configuring Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Proficiency in WMS administration, including setup, user management, workflows, and system configurations.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and processes, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for process improvements.
- Familiarity with integration between WMS and other systems, such as ERP and inventory management systems.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and software providers.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and system integrity.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to warehouse operations, such as safety regulations and product handling requirements.
